The Embedded Linux Conference (ELC) is the premier vendor-neutral technical conference for companies and developers using Linux in embedded products. This conference, now in its 9th year, has the largest collection of sessions dedicated exclusively to embedded Linux and embedded Linux developers. Mark has been involved with Linux since 1999 and has witnessed its evolution from a desktop/server operating system to running everywhere on almost every imaginable device.

Joined Linaro at the end of August 2012. Responsible for Linaro engineering activities including Core Engineering (Core Development, Product Technology, Platform Engineering) and Linaro Segment Groups (Enterprise, Digital Home, Mobile, Networking).

MontaVista Software - Vice President, Engineering and Services

Joined MontaVista in 1999 as the director of engineering, responsible for new product development focused on making the Linux operating system suitable for embedded systems and embedded applications. Managed the development of key technologies for Linux including multi-architecture platform support, real-time, carrier grade high availability, small footprint, fast boot, power management and the MontaVista Linux 6 Integration Platform (based on BitBake and OpenEmbedded).

Hewlett-Packard Company – R&D Section Manager
